Currently // A Little More About Me

Some days it's just fun to get to know a little bit more about the girl behind the blog. I personally adore reading more about the women behind the blogs that I follow. It makes this kinda-crazy blogging world a little more personal. Don't ya think? Here is a fun list of things that are currently going on in my life.... Enjoy!

Wishlisting | I was on the search for winter outerwear & when I ran across this vest from Old Navy, I knew I had to have it! I had a coupon which made it $ free $ Score!

Creating | In two weekends, my mom and I are planning to get together and create a Christmas decoration! I am itching to make a perfect burlap like this one!

Reading | The Chronicles of Narnia series & Psalms! I am also doing two She Reads Truth studies and loving them! Have you ever went through a SRT study before?

Loving |  my awesome GOD! And my husband who daily blows me away. He is growing so much in His walk with Christ that it makes me yearn to know Him more!

Appreciating |  The crispy cold weather that means the holidays are right around the corner!

Making | my amazing husband texted me this morning & told me that he was making me dinner tonight.. and pumpkin spice cookies are on the menu ;)

Cooking | Teryaki Honey Glazed Shredded Chicken over white rice.. this was my first meal at home in over a month.. wifey fail!  But it was yummy! I am excited for the holidays because that means more home-cooked goodness.

Drinking | Tons of coffee, as always!

Wanting | CHRISTMAS! It has been on my mind so much lately!

Looking | at Pinterest for yummy holiday meals to try! I pin way too much food!

Playing | Does roller skating count? The youth group we help lead had a costume party at a roller skating rink and I was sore for three days. #imgettingold

Deciding | where we want to go for my birthday getaway in February! Last year was NYC & I loved it!! Any suggestions??

Wishing | that my family and Joe's family lived closer :(

Enjoying | Family time this weekend! So fun to spend time with them!

Waiting | to go back to Haiti!!! #takemeback #missmybabies

Liking | This girl & her awesome blog posts. She is the best DIY'er around! Hey, Lisa!

Wondering | when God will call us back to Haiti.  Maybe we can adopt one day?!

Pondering | all of the change that took place in my heart while in Haiti.

Considering | whether or not I should clean out my closet... anyone with me?!

Watching | Walking Dead! We are two episodes behind... don't tell me what happens!

Hoping |  I am just hoping in the Lord honestly. I recently went through a rough time in my personal life about 6 months ago and I nearly lost all hope. Thank God that He showed me that with Jesus, THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE! Because He IS hope. Ah, so thankful.

Marveling | at God’s faithfulness, greatness, and love. (and how cold it is already?! it snowed this weekend!)

Needing | to seriously stop being so lazy in my workout time. anyone have any good work out routines?!

Smelling | my Pumpkin Caramel B&BW candle floating through our home.. ah, the seasons

Wearing | leggings & boots. all day, everyday. I added big sweaters over the weekend since the weather decided to skip fall and go straight into winter!

Following | this pretty lady - I can officially call her my first real bloggy friend. We text so it's legit. Haha! She is so sweet & I'm so grateful that God put her in my life as such a sweet friend! Hey, Sarah!

Knowing | that God is at work in my husband's heart and my own and that makes me SO happy.

Thinking | about Jesus and the Christmas story.. Can you believe that God sent His son to save us just because He loves us that much? Mind blown.

Admiring |  this shirt. It means so much.

Sorting | through my to-do list for the week/month/year/imsobehind

Buying | a new holiday drink from starbucks this afternoon :)

Getting | so much love from the Word lately.

Bookmarking | this etsy shop // those sweatshirts are to die for. and I love the purpose behind them!

Disliking | society nowadays. you can't even watch tv without getting tempted in some way. check out this sweet girl's blog post about this very thing. It's not radical to want to protect your family. Hey, Hayley!

Opening | {anticipating} opening Christmas gifts in less than 60 days. Does that count? :)

Giggling |  over this movie. priceless! I laughed throughout the ENTIRE time at the movie theater #thatgirl

Feeling | so incredibly thankful and overwhelmed.

So, friend, what are you currently up to in your life? Each life is precious and I would love to get to know you better! What are you liking, knowing, thinking about, or anticipating?

  1. Thanks for the shout-out pretty lady! I'm so glad that God has put us together and is working through us to spread His word and study together--it's so amazing! I LOVE the SHE IS Etsy shop, they have amazing things--I got one of the shirts and I'm head over heals for it! I'm so glad to see that Haiti has not left your mind, friend. God has planted a seed and I can't wait to see how you nurture it! Love you!

  3. I love your list! Yes to too much coffee (I'm trying to cut back but oh it's so hard!) And I'm jealous that you get to wear your big sweaters--it's only a tiny bit feeling like Fall down here in South Texas...(found you on Oak & oat link up...what a fun blog you have!)

  4. This was really thorough! I was trying to think what I would even answer for some of these and I'm not sure, haha. The indecisiveness of life I suppose.
Praying for you and your husbands hearts in regard to Haiti/adoption.
