My Cup Overflows

"My cup overflows..."
Psalm 23:5

What is your cup overflowing with? I'm not talking about your coffee mug because if that were the case, it would be Pumpkin Spice Lattes for me everyday. I'm talking about your heart.

 How has your heart been lately?

If I'm being honest, my heart has been overflowing with lots of things lately. Contentment, fear, happiness, worry, confusion, faith...

God desires for our hearts to be overflowing with thankfulness to Him each day because He is good and He loves us. Frankly, that is all we need.

--God desires that our hearts are overflowing with love, gratitude, thanksgiving, compassion and joy!--

We LOVE because HE first loved us! [{1 John 4:19}

We are GRATEFUL because we are alive! {Psalm 139:13 Certainly you made my mind and heart; you wove me together in my mother's womb.} We have a purpose in this life! {Jeremiah 29:11}

We are THANKFUL because Christ took on our sin and died the death we deserved because of our sin. After conquering death, He lives so that we shall eternally live with Him! If that doesn't make you thankful, nothing will!

 John 3:36-- The one who believes in the Son has eternal life. The one who rejects the Son will not see life, but God's wrath remains on him.

We have COMPASSION because if you are a believer of Christ, His Spirit within you is kind and loving.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

 We recognize we are all sinners {Romans 3:23} and no one is better than the other because we are all made in the image of God, our Creator. {Genesis 1:27 God created humankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them.}

We are full of JOY because we are eternally alive and taken care of! Our Father in Heaven loves us and has us in His hand.
Romans 8:31,32 What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Indeed, he who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all - how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things?

God is patiently waiting for you to surrender your cares and your hurt to Him. We have so much to be thankful for. Praise Him for all His many blessings!

Let Him empty your life of brokenness and hurt and fill your heart with overflowing love, gratitude, thanksgiving, compassion, and joy!
